Some Ways They Can Support
Throughout my nine PCS moves, I always check out the Housing Office. Even if you allowed me to represent you, lets call a spade a spade, you don't know me. The Housing Office is a neutral party with a wealth of knowledge. If you explored my website, I hope it has come across as a means that I am trying to both educate and would look out for your best interest should I be the one representing you.
- Provide off-post housing counseling and referral assistance
- Coordinate with local licensed real estate specialists, apartment managers and landlords to jointly inspect housing for adequacy
- Assist when complaints cannot be resolved between landlord and tenant
- Educate customers about property rental application fees and utility waivers
- Review lease agreements and help tenants understand their rights and responsibilities
- Assist in resolving problems with utility connections, fees, deposits, billings
- Investigate housing discrimination complaints
- Review available community programs and resources
- Review, approve Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA)
- Provide area maps, computer access and telephones to assist with housing search
- Provide relocation assistance for the next duty station Monitor and update social media sites
